Overview
This new, modern commercial development was designed and built in full collaboration with Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd from concept stage through to soft landings.
Key challenges overcome included:
- Re-use of the existing Thompson House (print works) basement
- Building the structure and installing the façade within 1m of the Principality Stadium mast
- Demolition of St Davids House and significant infrastructure works during Autumn and Spring Internationals
- Co-ordination of construction activities on event days at the stadium
- Proximity of other Central Square construction phases
- Incorporation if significant tenant changes without impact on programme
This event is in celebration of and promoting International Women in Engineering Day.
The event is co-badged with the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), the Chartered Management Institute and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
