Overview
Sean Gibbs and Paul Checketts from Hanscomb Intercontinental will be discussing the UK offshore wind industry and its size and importance, packaging of works, contract types and some legal issues arising.
They will talk about how procurement strategies rely on the packaging of works and the types of contracts being used for the different package elements.
Their presentation will also discuss particular issues with working offshore, necessitating changes to the standard forms of contract and how some issues on actual projects have led to litigation.
