Overview
This ICE Shropshire webinar, ‘Embedding climate change resilience in infrastructure’, will be delivered by John Dora from Climate Sense and John Dora Consulting.
There is growing evidence that the climate is changing at a far faster rate than predicted. This will present new challenges to civil engineers as society will depend more than ever on an economy that is low carbon and sustainable in resource consumption.
John Dora will outline how the industry can prepare and embed resilience to climate change in infrastructure.
John will bring insights from the ‘Tomorrow's Railway and Climate Change Adaptation’ programme (TRACCA), and recent developments in guidance, particularly ISO 14090 Adaptation to Climate Change. John led the development of this, the first international standard on climate change adaptation.
