Overview
Mike Scott, Director, GroundSolve will give a presentation on the industry basics as it rushes forward to new and exciting markets such as BIM and digital engineering. Standards need to remain high and engineers must not forget how to undertake basic civil engineering to reduce risk.
This talk introduces the basics of Geotechnical Risk Management, as set out in guidance documents and presents examples of what happens when good practice is not followed.
The session is aimed at stimulating thought in the industry, which will enable risk on future projects to be reduced.
