Overview
An interactive presentation for Students, Graduates, Apprentices and Technicians by John Moran CEng MICE and Susan Hawkes EngTech MICE.
This session will look at the behaviour of ground underneath a loaded area by setting up a real load test that can commonly be seen on any construction site; that is using plant to lift loads and using the plant out-riggers to transfer that load to the ground.
Come and join a bit of fun in which they will set up a problem and see if you can assess the level of safety we might have and compare it with the safe operating conditions of a typical piece of plant.
