Overview

ICE East Midlands Nottingham Leicester and Derby Branch will be joined by Nigel Bullock, head of solutions at Hill and Smith Infrastructure for an overview of vehicle restraint systems (VRS). 

Vehicle restraint systems work to absorb and decrease the force of a crashing vehicle. During the presentation Nigel Bullock will discuss road safety technology, the testing, applications, and early engagement embracing digital design and minimising construction risk while achieving best value VRS design. This presentation will cover how early engagement, embracing digital design supports best value VRS design and helps manage construction risk during project delivery.

Nigel Bullock

Nigel Bullock has been head of solutions at Hill and Smith Infrastructure since 2019. Nigel has a passion for road safety, particularly for the use of life saving vehicle restraint systems (VRS) technologies and his career has been in the highway safety industry. Nigel has introduced new road safety products into North and South America, and other international markets.
