Kathleen Harrison

Kathleen, a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the ICE, is the Local Government Lead for the Northwest at Jacobs. With over 20 years’ experience in the industry with both contractors and consultants, she has worked in a wide range of sectors. She attended her first Pride in Manchester with Building Equality in 2017, and ever since has been an active member of Building Equality (BE). She was involved with a range of BE initiatives, including the original BE Toolbox Talk and poster campaign, and helped develop the Allies Toolbox talk. As current co-chair of BE Greater Manchester, she continues to promote and support the LGBTQIA+ community, trying to be the best ally she can.

Lynne Hamilton

Lynne is a civil engineer turned management consultant who has worked in the construction sector for over 25 years. Having worked for clients and contractors, she joined Mott MacDonald seven years ago.

As a senior leader, co-Chair of the LGBTQ+ staff network, a Chartered Management Consultant, and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Lynne brings the values of diverse teams and inclusive culture into her day job. Whether challenging discrimination, changing perceptions, advocating for colleagues, or creating wellbeing initiatives, her work is living proof that the focus on diversity and inclusion brings tangible business benefits. 

In addition, she has been working with Building Equality for five years, both as part of the Manchester Committee and the National Exec. She also works with InterEngineering and the Royal Academy of Engineering, all with a view to driving inclusion across the sector and the clients who operate within it.’
