Overview
This ICE West Midlands Lunch and Learn webinar will cover the design of Highway drainage systems, with a particular focus on the use of linear pre-cast solutions and best practise in design: the hydraulic sizing of the units, structural requirements, and long-term performance through appropriate maintenance provisions.
Combined kerb and drainage systems and linear solutions are now a commonly accepted method of draining highways and other commercial projects. Marshalls is proud to have developed the original pre-cast combined kerb and drainage system, the Beany Block, in the mid-1980s.
Darryl Haigh, Drainage Engineering Manager at Marshalls, will use his extensive experience to explain how these systems can be best used to create robust design solutions which not only are economically favourable, but also consider the long-term performance of the asset after the construction phase.
