Overview
Join the ICE Nottingham, Leicester, and Derby Branch for this presentation on the M1 J23/A512 improvement scheme.
Dave Collis, Project Delivery Manager at Leicestershire County Council, and Jimmy Simpson, Project Manager at Morgan Sindall, will present an overview of the project, analysing the design, construction challenges and achievements on this strategic scheme.
This improvement project between Loughborough and Shepshed in Leicestershire, was completed by Leicestershire County Council and Morgan Sindall Infrastructure. The scheme consisted of upgrading the single carriageway to dual carriageway, installation of a new roundabout and the remodelling of several junctions. It also included new traffic installations in addition to widening the slip roads - all through the Midland’s Highway Alliance’s Medium Schemes Framework 3.
