Overview
Northern Powerhouse Rail is the flagship project of Transport for the North’s Strategic Transport Plan and is a long term programme to transform rail connectivity across the North of England.
The recently published Oakervee Review recommended that the project should be integrated with HS2 Phase 2b as part of ‘High Speed North’.
This event allows Members to discuss the ICE’s recent Insights Paper on Northern Powerhouse Rail and understand the project’s objectives and benefits.
