Overview
Prof. Don McQuillan is the 2020 and 100th President of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and a past chair of the ICE NI Committee.
Specialising in managing large multi-disciplinary projects and in forensic engineering, Don is a Director of RPS, a global energy resources and environmental consultancy. With some 45 years’ experience in civil engineering consultancy, Don has been responsible for numerous landmark and award-winning projects and regular carries out work as an Expert Witness in legal cases. Don is a Fellow of several esteemed Institutions, including ICE, Engineers Ireland and the Institution of Structural Engineers.
A highly experienced and successful Structural Engineer, Don is also a Royal Academy of Engineers Visiting Professor at Queen’s University Belfast.
