Overview

The TWf is a Specialist Knowledge Society of the ICE and seeks to promote best practice in the construction industry. It aims to encourage open discussion of any matter related to temporary works.

The forum is subscription-based and open to any organisation within the industry - large or small - sharing this intent; whether client, permanent works designer, principal contractor, temporary works designer, proprietary equipment supplier, specialist, industry body or academia.

David Thomas

David is a Chartered Civil Engineer and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner. In a broad career to date he has held a number of positions in different organisations: multi-disciplinary engineering and management consultancy; health and safety enforcement (in support of criminal proceedings and as a technical specialist); health and safety management (in construction and manufacturing); and the design of equipment, training and support services for professional work at height and rescue.
