Transport Planning Society
The Transport Planning Society (TPS) is the UK’s sole professional body for transport planning, aiming to raise its profile and guide the profession.
In 2022, the Great British Railway Transition Team (GBRTT) was created to drive a new wave of railway reform across Britain.
To achieve the GBRTT’s purpose of creating a simpler, better railway for everyone in Britain, the foundations of the new body have had to be developed from the ground-up, including the development of the Whole Industry Strategic Plan (WISP), a 30-year, evidence-based strategy for change.
One year on from her last update, GBRTTs Director of Strategic Planning and former chair of the Transport Planning Society, Elaine Seagriff will give an update on the progress made in delivering rail reform, the impacts of the political changes in autumn 2022, and what to expect next.
Please note: unfortunately due to recent changes to ICE's hospitality regulations, the Society is unable to provide food before or after this event, however we welcome attendees back for complimentary networking drinks after the evening's lecture in the Institution's bar.
