Overview

This event will be a summary of the career progression of Civil Engineering Technician and prospective EngTech MICE Rachael Hart. The key points covered will include some of the biggest challenges Rachael has faced in becoming a proficient technician and how these challenges were overcome.

There is a misconception that the role of a technician in the industry is only to assist with the production of drawings and design information. Rachael believes that Technicians have a much bigger role to play in supporting the wider design team, actively engaging in the design process and driving the adoption of BIM. This event aims to provide advice on what it means to be a great Technician, and how Engineers and Technicians can work better together to achieve the best results possible.
