Overview

This online event delves into the important role of UAE regulations in preventing workplace incidents and accidents. It explores how specific laws and standards contribute to occupational health and safety, highlighting examples such as the UAE Federal Law 33 (2021), the NCEMA 6000-2016, and the OSHAD System framework. The speaker discusses the alignment of UAE regulations with international standards like ISO 45001-2018 and examines the challenges faced by high-risk industries, including oil and gas, construction, and utilities.

Participants learned about the latest technological advancements used to enhance safety compliance, such as AI-enabled smart applications and drones, and the impact of a multicultural workforce on safety practices. Real-world case studies illustrate the effectiveness of these regulations in reducing incidents and improving safety outcomes.

Organised by the ICE UAE, this online event is primarily addressed to professionals and stakeholders in the engineering, construction, and infrastructure sectors, as well as safety managers, regulatory compliance officers, and those involved in workplace health and safety initiatives. It is especially relevant for those engaged in projects within the GCC region.
