Overview

AI promises to transform how projects are designed, managed and delivered. But what is genuine change, and what is seasonal sparkle? This in-person evening brings three professions into one room, with the Association for Project Management (APM), the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) meeting at WSP's offices in Canary Wharf.

Martin Paver, Dr Bola Abisogun OBE and Bill Guo FICE, alongside Mark Barnett, offer sharp insights, real-world examples and bold predictions for 2027. Together they explore the future project team, trusted information, engineering practice, professional skills and responsible AI. Martin Paver examines AI-driven roles and the future project team. Dr Bola Abisogun OBE uses Project IIRIS to explore trusted information, safety and insurability. Bill Guo FICE considers responsible AI adoption and the future civil engineer. Mark Barnett, Lead of APM's AI and Data Analytics Interest Network, joins the panel online to contribute perspectives on governance, ethics, professional development, skills and capability building.

Expect practical insights, challenging discussion and four leading voices separating the Christmas crackers from the crystal balls, for anyone who wants to understand where AI is really taking the professions. Registration, refreshments and networking open at 17:30. Presentations begin at 18:00, the panel discussion and audience questions follow at 18:55, and the evening closes at 19:30.

This is an APM London Network event, co-hosted with the APM AI and Data Analytics Interest Network and delivered in partnership with RICS and ICE. It is hosted by Nermeen Latif of WSP and introduced for ICE by Dr Frederick Levy FICE, Chair of the ICE London Regional Committee. ICE London holds 25 places for ICE members, free of charge, booked through this page. APM and RICS take their own members' bookings separately.
