Magna Tram Station

Overview

Join Amy Stevenson, site engineer at AmcoGiffen as she presents a look back at the Magna Tram Station project which opened to the public on the 9th April 2026. 

This was a brand-new tram station on the Rotherham-Sheffield Tram Train network and the first addition to the network since it opened in 2018.

In the presentation Amy will go through the construction phase enabling works, PWay works, foundation works, steel fabrication, steelwork installation and fitting out works compromising of lifts, M&E, telecoms, fire detection, signage and furniture. 

In addition she will explain her role as an engineer on the project and why the project won Highly Commended for the SPOTLight Rail Awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.

Catering and payment

Following the meeting a hot and cold selection buffet lunch will be offered. The cost is £14 for the main course buffet and £6 for dessert (optional). Payment at time of booking is preferred and can be arranged via the honorary secretary. Bookings must be made no later than Tuesday 27th October.
