Whether you’re just beginning your application or refining the final details, you’ll receive hands‑on, personalised support from ICE South West Fellows representative Teresa Frost, who has helped many successful candidates navigate the pathway to Fellowship.

Richard Fish, chair of the ICE Fellowship Panel, will also offer insights into how Fellowship applications are assessed and what the panel looks for when reviewing submissions

Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and explore what the ICE Fellowship attributes require in practice. You'll benefit from tailored advice on how to clearly present your leadership, achievements and influence in the infrastructure sector.

The workshop is free to attend, with lunch and refreshments provided throughout the day. It's held in the beautiful surroundings of the Castle Hotel, Taunton and the workshop is fully accessible.

Teresa Frost

Teresa started on her engineering career in the 70’s by opting for technical drawing at school.  That led to engineering drawing A-level and a job as a draughtswoman for South West Water. After a move to Cornwall, Teresa secured a position as a trainee technician with Cornwall Council.  Progressing academically to attain a higher national certificate in civil engineering studies at Oxford Polytechnic, she then completed her IEng Professional Review.

Teresa’s career with Cornwall Council and its arms length civil engineering contractor CORMAC spans more than 30 years and includes working in the feasibility and both structure and roads design offices. She has been an assistant resident engineer, a supervisor for the clients' highway maintenance function, a coordinator for street works. As an area manager, she was in charge of a workforce dealing with such events as the Boscastle flooding.

Her passion for the ICE started with the Board of Incorporated Engineers and Technicians and then election to the ICE Council, where she has just completed three terms. She has also served on the ICE Trustee Board, the Nominations Committee (NOMCO) and Professional Conduct Panel. Teresa has been chairman of the ICE Benevolent Fund and is a passionate supporter of the charity.
