Overview

The ICE’s five-year strategy points to a growing challenge: trust in infrastructure professionals. With recent project failures putting that trust under pressure, this session looks at how conflict within projects can surface and intensify these issues, and what can be done to address them before they escalate.

Join us for a panel discussion with the Conflict Avoidance Coalition and ResoLex exploring how project environments can support earlier, more effective handling of conflict.

Featuring guest panellists from the Environment Agency and the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme, the discussion draws on real case studies and live project experience to explore what enables teams to identify issues early and respond constructively.

While innovation continues to improve productivity, projects are ultimately delivered by people. It is the conflicts between these people - and how those conflicts are managed or avoided - that often determine success.

Edward Moore

Edward is the chief executive of ResoLex and an industry leader in operationalising collaborative environments on complex projects, with a particular focus on building effective foundations for strong, lasting relationships. He has supported outcome delivery through collaboration on multiple nationally significant programmes across the UK, including HS2, Crossrail, the New Hospital Programme, and the London 2012 Olympics.

Alongside his work in major projects, Ed serves as chair of trustees for Concordis International, a peacebuilding charity which helps facilitate dialogue in some of the world’s most challenging humanitarian environments. While far removed from infrastructure delivery, there is a consistent theme between the two roles: sustainable outcomes depend on trust, alignment, and shared purpose.
