Overview

To continue International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) celebrations, hear from

  • Armin Berenjian, principal façade engineer (associate) at Wintech
  • Meshi Taka, commercial engineering lead at Aqua Consultants
  • Tina Gunnarsson, sustainability and social inclusion lead at Fika.

They will share highlights from their careers and showcase projects that demonstrate the value of engineering intelligence in solving complex challenges.

This event will focus on how experienced engineers apply practical solutions to complex real-world challenges.

INWED is a global celebration of the achievements and contributions of women in engineering. Bringing together professionals, students and industry leaders to recognise progress, share experiences and inspire the next generation.

In addition to the talks, the session will offer opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing, allowing participants to connect with peers and expand their professional networks.

This event is suitable for anyone with an interest in engineering, from early career professionals and students to experienced practitioners, who wish to celebrate INWED and support greater representation within the profession.

Armin Berenjian

Dr Armin Berenjian graduated with an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham in 2012. He went on to complete a PhD in Structural Engineering at the University of Salford, where his research focused on structural glass—introducing him to the world of façades and cladding systems.

After completing his doctorate, Armin began his professional career at Kingspan as a Structural Engineer. He later joined Wintech, where he progressed to the role of Associate Senior Façade Structural Engineer. Over the past decade, he has specialised in façade engineering, contributing to a wide range of projects from developing specifications for façade remediation works to investigating various types of cladding failures.
