On this page, you’ll find the important dates for all of our professional qualification processes, including deadlines for applications and submissions.
Fellowship, is our highest grade of membership. It's for civil engineers and technicians who've made a substantial contribution to the profession.

Academic Assessment is for candidates who don't have the qualifications to automatically apply for a particular grade of ICE membership or Engineering Council registration.

You can apply to join the UK Register of Ground Engineering Professionals (RoGEP if you're chartered with ICE; the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IoM3); or the Geological Society London (GSL).
Chartered Engineers (CEng) can apply for additional registration as a European Engineer. This entitles you to use the letters EUR ING before your name.

There are no closing dates for applications for the following: recognition of EU professional qualifications, Engineering Council registration and mutual recognition. You can submit your application at any time and you'll receive the result of your assessment within four months after we've confirmed receipt of your complete application.

End Point Assessments (EPAs) will be held at the following confirmed centres for 2019/20:
ICE will organise quarterly EPA sessions throughout the year, across multiple locations. Dates will be published on this page once confirmed.
If there are no suitable dates or locations, or if your learning provider or employer wishes to host an EPA session, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
Please remember that you (the Apprentice) must have passed all the Gateway requirements before submitting your application.
If you are applying for professional registration with the Engineering Council and membership of ICE, please remember to complete Section 3 of the form before submitting your application.

You should bear these dates in mind if you’re planning to meet a particular Professional Reviews application deadline.
Professional Reviews are held in a number of centres around the world. You can see their locations in the tables below. Note that those centres marked (**) have limited capacity and priority will be given to local candidates. Please check with the professional reviews team before making an application if you are not a local candidate and wish to attend one of those centres.
When applying you must provide both a first choice and a second-choice centre on your application form. Every effort will be made to accommodate your first choice, but we need a second option in case the first is oversubscribed.
Please do not book your travel until you have received confirmation of the centre for your Professional Review: ICE is not able to factor individual travel arrangements into the review planning schedule and will not change a centre allocation on that basis. Also, please note that if you apply to sit in the UK without selecting a second option, you will be automatically allocated to London if your first choice is not available.
