The award celebrates and recognises the best civil engineering projects around the UK, ones that have made a positive impact on their local area and communities.

See the 12 nominated civil engineering projects from around the UK that have been nominated for this year’s ICE People’s Choice Award and vote for the one that impresses you the most. Encourage family, friends and colleagues to get involved so that we can help the public to really understand the benefits of civil engineering has on their everyday lives.

All voters are automatically entered into a prize draw* to win a Kindle** and six months of free unlimited books and audiobooks. Voting closes on 1 December. The People's Choice Award 2017 winner will be announced on 13 December.

Last year's inaugural People's Choice Award was won by Scotland's Forth Road Bridge repair and was presented by First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon. Over 16,000 people across the UK cast a vote for their favourite civil engineering projects.
