State of the Nation: Infrastructure 2010

Date
17 June 2010

The nation that neglects its infrastructure neglects its future. But the nation that respects its infrastructure respects its people, and provides for their sustainable future. Infrastructure needs long-term policy stability to encourage investment.

To attract further investment from the private sector, new forms of funding are required, like a National Infrastructure Investment Bank. But increased levels of investment must also be accompanied by good asset management and demand management.

That is why ICE commends the establishment of Infrastructure UK and its longer term strategic planning.
