Major engineering company signs agreement to collaborate more closely with the ICE.
Mott MacDonald, one of the largest employers of ICE members, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to become the institution’s latest corporate partner.
The global engineering, management and development company joins 14 other corporate partners by invitation, including Balfour Beatty, Costain, the Environment Agency and Skanska.
Corporate partners work closely with the ICE to enhance the professional development of their employees.
They also benefit from exclusive access to a range of ICE and civil engineering events and activities.
The agreement recognises Mott MacDonald as a first-class provider of training and professional development.
It provides an approved training scheme for graduates working towards a professional qualification, and post-qualification CPD resources, including mentoring.
James Harris, chair and chief executive of Mott MacDonald’s executive board, signed the agreement with ICE President Professor Anusha Shah.
Working together to achieve a common goal
He said: “Coming together as an industry is important if we are going to ensure we have the necessary capability and capacity to deliver the right outcomes for the clients and the communities we serve.
“We have a long-standing commitment to supporting those on their journey toward professional qualification, and as an ICE corporate partner, it further cements our commitment to nurturing talent and driving industry change forward.”
ICE President Professor Anusha Shah said that Mott MacDonald was a “significant addition” to an important group of built-environment employers.
“This partnership sees an already close relationship develop further, in terms of increased knowledge sharing and the profession of sector insights.
“The industry is at the forefront of addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss and social inequity.
“I look forward to ever greater collaboration between our two organisations as we work to achieve our common goals.”
