In our response, we called for policy to be geared towards:
- Delivering higher performing infrastructure networks
- Creating a stable environment for long-term investment in infrastructure
- Developing a flexible workforce that can be re-deployed across multiple projects
We also recommended that the construction industry should:
- Increase investment in a range of Research and Development (R&D)
- Develop new business models to support increased investment in R&D
- Develop an industry culture willing to adopt new technologies and methods of working
