London faces a unique set of transport challenges. It is the fastest-growing region in the UK - London’s population will rise to 10 million by 2031.
This rate of population growth, combined with the extra jobs being created, requires a long-term commitment to invest in and improve London’s transport infrastructure in a sustainable way.
Without this investment the full benefits of recent improvements will not be secured and transport conditions will deteriorate.
