ICE East of England's various committees and panels bring together like-minded people and give members the opportunity to increase their knowledge, get advice, and raise the profile and standard of civil engineering.
ICE's work in the East of England is carried out by the regional committee. It's made up of branch members and interest groups and is supported by the Regional Support Team. Committee members are volunteers and come from a range of backgrounds within the civil engineering profession.

The ICE East of England regional committee manages ICE affairs in the East of England.
The committee is made up of the chairs of the various branches, special interest groups, regional members of council, and representatives on national boards and panels. All members of the board are volunteers and are unpaid for their work with ICE. The chair, honorary secretary and honorary treasurer are appointed at the East of England region annual general meeting, which usually takes place in October/November.
It works in partnership with the Regional Support Team (RST), which is staffed by a regional director and their team.
The board, through its county branches and the RST, organises events for ICE members in the East of England.

Our branch committees are diverse, forward-thinking and active. Working with various engineering institutions and organisations involved in the built environment, they aim to increase interest and attendance at meetings to help members continue their professional development.

Our Cambridgeshire branch represents around 650 ICE members. It arranges learned society events, which are usually held in Cambridge.

There are around 400 graduate and student ICE members in the East of England region. The committee aims to support all graduate and student members to become better engineers. They organise events, courses, competitions and socials, helping members develop their careers and bringing like-minded people together.

The East of England region's special interest groups (SIGs) focus on particular aspects of civil engineering. The groups are run by members on a voluntary basis, and provide an opportunity to discuss topics, share knowledge and meet up for social activities.
The ICE East of England is setting up a Water Panel with the intent to use the professional expertise and experience of ICE and its members. It aims to influence decisions that affect the East of England’s water environment.
