ICE North East works to support our members in the region and to raise the profile of civil engineering.
To get involved with awards, or for support on fellowship, AMICE, events and wider stakeholder working, the Regional Support Team is here to help.
We’ll always respond as quickly as possible, although some staff work part-time.

The North East office works to support our members, help raise the profile of civil engineering, and provide expert comment or help put you in touch with civil engineering experts.

Steena Nasapen-Watson
Regional Director
Steena leads the Regional Support Team and is responsible for planning the work ICE North East does, including its programme of events and activities.
Joanne Topping
Regional Co-ordinator
Joanne supports with running the office, as well as dealing with member enquiries and helping organise regional events.
Joanne Stephenson
Communications Lead
Joanne manages all aspects of marketing and communications within ICE North East. She manages internal communications, website, social media, and regional marketing and knowledge publications. She also coordinates events and activities to promote civil engineering and ICE externally.
Jess McCamley

Jess works alongside Joanne to manage marketing and communications within ICE North East. She manages internal communications, website, social media, and regional marketing and knowledge publications. She also coordinates events and activities to promote civil engineering and ICE externally.
Membership Development Officers (MDOs) provide in depth information about becoming a member of ICE.
They often carry out visits to your place of work, hold regular advice surgeries and provide training to help you becoming professionally qualified.
