Overview

The ICE Early Careers Network (ECNet) Wales Cymru represents all graduate, student, technician and apprentice members of the ICE working or studying in Wales.

Following a brief talk by a member of the ICE providing general tips and advice when working towards achieving a professional qualification with the ICE, as well as a more specific focus on the content of attribute 4, we will engage in discussion with time to work on the attribute and obtain further individual advice on how to evidence attribute 4.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to engage in informal networking, share experiences, ask questions, and build confidence and clarity on the path to obtain your desired professional qualification - whether you are working towards IEng or CEng, all are welcome!

We look forward to seeing you – everyone is welcome!

Snacks and refreshments will be provided and we look forward to seeing you!

For more information follow our social media accounts, join our mailing list or email us directly:

Dominik Sikora

Dominik Sikora is a chartered highway and active travel engineer at AtkinsRéalis.

Dominik completed his Master’s in Civil and Transportation Engineering at Edinburgh Napier University and joined the Arup Cardiff Highways team upon graduating. His early career focussed on preliminary and detailed design of major highway schemes around the south region, such as the new A40 Penblewin to Redstone Cross bypass, Banwell Bypass and A27 L2P.

He was also the first person in Arup to pilot and utilise emerging new technology, namely Quantm Trimble software during early stage optioneering to significantly reduce the time and resource that would be required to obtain the same level of results when compared to traditional methods of highway alignment optioneering.

Adapting to Welsh Government’s commitment to sustainable transport which supports climate change Dominik later focussed on design and delivery of Active Travel infrastructure in West Wales.
