Overview

This webinar introduces emerging AI-powered tools that help engineers and construction professionals efficiently discover and organise technical knowledge – from academic papers to practical case studies and design guidelines.

We will explore both general-purpose and research-specific AI tools, including ChatGPT and Gemini (on Poe), Perplexity, Grok, Undermind, NotebookLM, Notion AI, and more. Through real-world examples, you will see how these tools can support research, summarise technical documents, and streamline knowledge gathering for reporting or decision-making.

Learning goals

  • Discover how AI tools can support technical knowledge discovery and review
  • Identify and compare tools for finding academic papers, case studies, and design guidelines
  • Apply best practices for using AI responsibly and effectively in engineering contexts

This session is designed for engineers and practitioners looking to enhance their knowledge workflows with AI. No prior experience with AI tools is required.

Note:

  • Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis, with priority given to ICE HKA members.
  • Only successful applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail.
  • Attendance certificates will be provided within 2 weeks of the event only if attendees attend the whole event.
