The Moors at Arne coastal change project brings together the Environment Agency, RSPB, Natural England and Kier to deliver an innovation response to the long-term effects of climate change and sea level rise around Poole Harbour.
The visit will explore how engineering and environmental management have been combined to manage coastal change, while creating valuable new intertidal habitat.
During the visit, you'll hear about the development and delivery of the scheme before heading onto site to see the works first-hand.
With construction now nearing completion, the visit will provide an opportunity to reflect on how the project has progressed, the challenges encountered and the role of collaboration, digital tools and innovation.
This is the second visit to the site organised by the ICE Dorchester and Bournemouth/Poole City Club. New and returning attendees are equally welcome, with the visit providing a complete introduction to the project and its objectives.
Attendees need to bring their own full PPE, which should include:
- Yellow or orange high-vis long-sleeved jacket
- Yellow or orange high-vis trousers
- Steel-toe capped safety boots
