Overview

Lithium is found within micas in Cornwall's granite rocks and within the geothermal waters that flow through these rocks at depth.

Batteries for electric vehicles use lithium and demand is expected to increase as batteries for power storage become more important.

Mineral exploration company, Cornish Lithium has a lithium in geothermal waters programme to work out the optimal places to put in boreholes to extract these fluids and process out the lithium.

The company has completed six diamond-cored exploration boreholes in Cornwall, totalling around 7km of drilling and is midway through a further two boreholes.

This presentation will outline the company's operations including the exploration process, well design, and drilling operations to the target depth.

The event is hosted by ICE Truro City Club and includes time for questions and networking.
