Honouring Our Communities: Black History Month panel discussion

Overview

As part of Black History Month, ICE Scotland and Mott MacDonald are hosting a panel discussion centred around this year's theme, Honouring Our Communities. Bringing together professionals from across the engineering industry, the event will celebrate the contributions, experiences and achievements of black professionals while encouraging meaningful conversation around diversity, inclusion and representation within the engineering sector.

The discussion will explore three key themes:

• Honour: where have we come from?
• Community: who has supported and shaped us?
• Legacy: what are we leaving for the next generation?

Through personal stories and professional experiences, panellists will reflect on the people, communities and opportunities that have influenced their journeys and discuss how the engineering profession can continue to create a more inclusive future.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear a range of perspectives from industry professionals, participate in audience questions and contribute to the discussion.

Following the panel event, there will be an opportunity for networking, allowing attendees to continue conversations, build professional connections and engage with fellow engineers and industry professionals.
