You, Me and the ICE - President’s talk to ICE members across the MENA region

Overview

Join ICE President for 2025-2026, David Porter for a special session bringing together ICE members from across the Middle East and North Africa, both in person and online. As the only presidential event designed to engage members from every country in the region, this discussion offers a unique opportunity to connect with the Institution's global community and contribute to a shared conversation about the future of the profession.

Drawing on the theme of his presidency, You, Me and the ICE, David will reflect on the lessons learned during his year as President and explore the importance of collaboration, communication and leadership in delivering infrastructure that serves society. The session will highlight how civil engineers can work more effectively across disciplines, engage with wider audiences and help shape the future of the built environment.

David will also examine the priorities of the ICE 2030 Strategy, including strengthening public trust in the profession, advancing sustainable and resilient infrastructure, embracing technological innovation and fostering a global community that shares knowledge and best practice.

Following the address, participants will have the opportunity to join a live question-and-answer session, enabling members from across the MENA region to share insights, discuss local challenges and engage directly with the ICE President. The event aims to inspire members at all stages of their careers to support others in their ICE journey and play an active role in the future of the Institution and the profession.
