Overview

Join the ICE West Midlands Birmingham, Solihull and Black Country Branch for an engaging session exploring social value from the buyer's perspective.

Shah Begum, strategic lead for social value and sustainable procurement at West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) will provide a brief overview of the WMCA's approach and new social value policy, the discussion will focus on practical lessons learned, what strong social value looks like in practice, and the common pitfalls bidders can face.

This event will also highlight the small changes that can make a big difference in both submissions and delivery.

Designed as an open and collaborative conversation, this is an opportunity to gain valuable insights, share challenges, and explore how greater collaboration can unlock better social value outcomes.
