One of Hong Kong’s largest construction companies has signed an agreement to collaborate more closely with the ICE.
Gammon Construction Limited has signed an agreement with the ICE to become the institution’s first international corporate partner.
Gammon Construction is one of Hong Kong’s largest construction organisations, responsible for numerous infrastructure projects across the region.
Deputy director general and director of membership, Séan Harris, and director of membership recruitment, Steve Feeley, were joined by Gammon chief executive, Kevin O’Brien, for the signing of the partnership agreement.
Gammon also brought a delegation of early career professionals for the occasion, all who got a tour of One Great George Street.
Séan Harris said, “I am thrilled to sign this agreement with Gammon Construction, who for many years has demonstrated real commitment to ICE qualifications and their employees’ professional growth.”
“I am sure that through the partnership we will enhance our established relationship and collaborate further to deliver even better outcomes for both the ICE and Gammon Construction.”
O’Brien said Gammon is “proud” to be the first company outside the UK to sign a corporate partnership with the ICE.
“This partnership recognises Gammon's commitment to nurturing local talent for Hong Kong's construction industry by providing training and professional development for our engineers that recognises them both locally and internationally,” he said.
“We look forward to collaborating with ICE to drive industry best practices through a range of ICE and civil engineering events and activities.”
