Calling all aspiring engineers – ICE HKA G&S is recruiting

ICE Hong Kong Association (HKA) Graduates and Students Division (G&S) is recruiting helpers for the 2026 to 2027 session.

It's calling for passionate and motivated engineers to help facilitate the professional development and networking opportunities it offers to engineering students and graduates training for chartership.

Wide variety of opportunities

ICE HKA G&S organises a diverse range of events throughout the year, ensuring there's something for everyone. 

Helpers can choose to join a team that aligns with their interests and aspirations.

Delegation team

• Organising overseas delegations for members to learn about engineering best practice around the world and promote the ICE abroad
• Organise dissemination seminars where delegates share and consolidate their takeaways from overseas visits

External engagement team

• Organise joint events with other professional institutions, covering professional development and networking opportunities
• Support the flagship Shaping Our Future City campaign that aims to promote engineering to secondary school students

Personal development team

• Organise workshops on personal wellbeing, professional ethics and other essential soft skills
• Deliver the Communications Competition, which simulates a consultation forum
• Organise local guided tours exploring Hong Kong's geology, ecosystems and heritage

Site visit and seminar team

• Organise the annual symposium, technical seminars, webinars and site visits
• Arrange workshops featuring mock chartered professional review (CPR) interviews
• Organising the local heat of the Princess Royal Award for Emerging Engineers, an international competition showcasing outstanding engineering research

Student development team

• Create early careers opportunities for university students, including company visits, student site visits and interview preparation workshops.
• Arrange the hands-on Model Building Competition involving teams from local universities.
• Promote the ICE and its activities to university students.
