Calling all aspiring engineers – ICE HKA G&S is recruiting

ICE Hong Kong Association (HKA) Graduates and Students (G&S) division is recruiting helpers for the 2025-2026 session.

It's looking for talented and passionate aspiring engineers to help facilitate the professional development and networking opportunities it offers to engineering students and graduates training for chartership.

Wide variety of opportunities

ICE HKA G&S offers a variety of events each year, ensuring there's something for everyone. With a diverse range of activities, volunteers can choose a team that aligns with their interests and preferences:

Delegation team

• Arranging local guided tours on geology, ecosystems and heritage.
• Organising overseas delegations and sharing sessions to enhance global collaboration.

External engagement team

• Organising joint events with other professional bodies, covering professional development and networking.
• Working on the flagship Shaping Our Future City campaign that aims to promote engineering to high school students.

Personal development team

• Organising various workshops on personal wellbeing, professional ethics and other soft skills.
• Working on a scenario-based pitching competition similar to conducting a consultation forum.

Site visit and seminar team

• Organising the annual symposium, technical seminars, webinars and site visits.
• Arranging workshops with mock chartered professional review (CPR) interviews.
• Organising the local heat for the Emerging Engineers Award, an international competition on the best engineering research.

Student development team

• Setting up early careers opportunities for university students, including company visits and interview workshops.
• Arranging a hands-on model building competition with representatives from local universities.
• Promoting the ICE to university students.

A session of ICE HKA G&S committees makes up the period from one annual general meeting (AGM) to the next.
