It shares knowledge, influences public infrastructure policy, and encourages innovation and excellence in the civil engineering profession.
ICE Europe also aims to raise the profile of civil engineering by working with the media, schools and universities.

There are over 100 ICE members living and working across Cyprus. Our members work on a huge range of projects across the country.
At the heart of everything we do in Cyprus is the Cyprus Group of Civil and Mechanical Professional Engineers. This is a joint group made up of ICE and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). The group's volunteer members help arrange events, visits to ongoing engineering projects and social events. It is also vital in helping to increase the profile of civil engineering.

There are almost 200 ICE members living and working across France. Our members work on a huge range of projects across the country.
At the heart of everything we do in France is the French Local Association. The volunteer-run association helps arrange events, visits to ongoing engineering projects and social activities. It's also vital in helping to increase the profile of civil engineering.
There are some graduate representatives on the association committee, who support members working towards professional qualification. There's also a Student Chapter at the L'Ecole des Grands Proiets (ESTP).
ICE Local Association France holds monthly networking events at 7pm in The Highlander Pub, 8 Rue Nevers, 75006 Paris (Metro: Pont Neuf).
Please come along on the third Tuesday of the month and meet with other professional engineers working or living in Paris.
The networking evening is combined with a technical lecture several times a year, hosted by ICE, IET or IMechE, at the same venue.

There are around 50 ICE members living in Belgium & Luxembourg and working on a range of projects across the country.
At the heart of everything is the Luxembourg Local Association. The Association helps arrange events, visits to ongoing engineering projects and social events. It is also vital in helping to increase the profile of civil engineering.
We have a volunteer member in Belgium & Luxembourg who helps arrange ICE activities and promote our work.
Erik is the ICE rep for Belgium and Luxembourg. He is an experienced Chartered Engineer and a registered International Professional Engineer who holds engineering degrees from the Universities of Antwerp, Liverpool and Plymouth. He has amassed over 20 years of international civil engineering and construction experience.
He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is a CEDR accredited mediator as well as a fully accredited mediator in civil & commercial matters by the Federal Mediation Commission of the Belgian Ministry of Justice. He works as a freelance independent expert, arbitrator & mediator at Maverick Enterprise and as the Commercial Director for Boskalis in Belgium.

There are over 30 ICE members living in Malta and working on a range of projects across the country.
At the heart of everything we do in the country is the Malta Group of Professional Engineering Institutions (MGPEI). This is a joint group made up of ICE, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET). The group helps arrange events, visits to ongoing engineering projects and social activities. The group also plays a vital in helping to increase the profile of civil engineering.
There are two Student Chapters in Malta, one at the University of Malta and one at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology. Please contact them if you are interested in joining or getting involved.

ICE has an Agreement of Cooperation with Het Koninklijk Instituut van Ingeniers which means members of these organisations can attend each other's meetings, conferences and use library facilities at members' rates.

We have a volunteer member in Netherlands who helps arrange ICE activities and promote our work.
Peter is a civil engineer in the highways and light rapid transit team of Mott MacDonald. Following a year in industry in the Birmingham office during his degree, he graduated with an MEng degree from Coventry University in 2019 and re-joined the team.
He has worked on highways and active travel projects all over the UK, ranging from Shetland to Yorkshire, gaining a breadth of experience in highway alignment design, topographical surveys, Civil 3D Design, swept path analysis, traffic sign design, car parks and pavement design.
He has been involved in the ICE Early Careers Network since graduation, planning and organising a range of events and talks, and took the role of chair for 2022-2023.
