ICE North West Civil Engineering Awards 2017

Find out who won what at the North West Civil Engineering Awards 2017.

Our annual awards dinner, celebrating the very best in civil engineering projects and people from the ICE North West region, was held in Blackpool on Friday to a packed audience from the civil engineering community, supported by GHD.

Our guest of honour, ICE President, Professor Tim Broyd BSc PhD CEng FREng FICE FRSA, spoke about the need for the industry to fully embrace digital concepts. Professor Broyd also presented the coveted awards to an array of winners.

There are eight award categories, covering exemplar engineering projects as well as outstanding contributions made by individual civil engineers. A number of presentations were also made for individual achievement.

    This seminar will cover the key elements of construction contracts, including responsibilities, risk, variations, payments, subcontracts and disputes, as well as highlights of the contract varieties. These include ICE 7th, ICE Minor Works, NEC Family, JCT and FIDIC. The day will include some group work as well as more formal presentations.
